Long time no cooking, suddenly getting the hang of it.

Refer to the previous article "Life under Community Lockdown" for the background story. I didn't want to order takeout because it's too expensive and the taste is just average, so my partner and I decided to cook our own meals and be self-sufficient.

We bought some vegetables, meat, fruits, etc. from Meituan. We can leave them at the entrance of the community, report our house number, and the staff will help deliver them inside, which is quite convenient. The only downside is that it has been raining on and off these past two days, and the staff and medical workers have been constantly sampling nucleic acid. (Just did the nucleic acid test before writing this article.)

We made some decent-tasting meals with simple ingredients, but they can only be called meals, not gourmet food, because our cooking skills are still improving.

It seems like we had potatoes for several meals, one was sour and spicy shredded potatoes, and the other was regular shredded potatoes, both had a good texture.

Last night, we made sugar-coated haws with strawberries and hawthorns. We simmered them in sugar syrup for a long time, but in the end, they only became semi-finished products, which was quite regrettable.

Then we had a hot pot and made dumplings, with fennel-flavored pork filling. The appearance may not be very appealing, but I have to say, fennel is really fragrant.

During the day, when I had a break from work, I took the opportunity to go downstairs to get the Meituan delivery and get some fresh air and stretch my muscles. It's estimated that it will take another two days to end. I have to say that I've taken more pictures of nucleic acid tests in these two days than I have in the past two years.

At the end, I'll share a few pictures as a commemoration.
